Condos in Etobicoke

Etobicoke Neighbourhood

If you’re eager to relocate to the Toronto area of Ontario, Canada, then you’re in luck. Known as the GTA or the Greater Toronto Area, there are numerous places to choose from. Some of our favourite neighbourhoods lie outside of the metropolitan Toronto hub. So if you want to access some of the best of the GTA, including its creative arts, networking and connections, business opportunities, and communities, then you should consider the thriving and growing Etobicoke neighbourhood.

Known as one of Canada’s earliest townships, Etobicoke encapsulates much of the land located in the Humber Valley. The neighbourhood is formed by Lake Ontario, of course, on the south, Humber River in the east, the City along Steeles Avenue in the north, and Etobicoke Creek on the neighbourhood’s west end. After being taken in by the city, Etobicoke is known as Toronto’s west end, so residents are still very much connected to the perks of the city of Toronto, including the transit and amenities.

This sprawling city is extremely safe and one of the best places to live, especially so close to the city of Toronto. Etobicoke encapsulates suburban communities, diverse Greenlands, luxuries, amenities, shopping, retail, conveniences, and businesses alike. Etobicoke overall has a moderately low walk score, but it makes up for it in the green spaces and transit options, even outside of the city. Within Etobicoke, there are small neighbourhoods to explore, like the Mimico-Humber Bay area right along the water and Long Branch. Explore Ontario’s favourite waterfront, or step away for the weekend on the GO train. There’s so much to offer with a residence at one of the many Etobicoke condos for sale.

With lots of natural green spaces, like the James Gardens, Colonel Samuel Smith Park, Humber Bay Park, and the sprawling Centennial Park, residents will find that they have plenty of nature to explore, green space for socializing, and recreational facilities too! This community continues to grow in popularity and has luckily endured many of the changes that we see today and kept so much green space and natural foliage.

This community has a low population density (around 365,000 according to the last Census), and residents will likely find detached and semi-detached homes and townhomes in these areas. If you’re looking for an Etobicoke condo for sale, then we’ve got you covered. Many Etobicoke condos for sale are high-end, fitted with many of the amenities and luxuries that locals expect from urban Toronto condos.

One of the biggest perks of the area includes the recreation available. Etobicoke has world-class golfing at St. George’s Golf and Country Club, which has hosted the Canadian Open five times and is ranked as one of the world’s top golf clubs. Etobicoke also has extensive shopping available, with numerous malls and high-end shopping opportunities. The malls and mixed throughout these retail stores are extensive dining options, including yummy tapas joints, fine dining, and fast food.

If you’re looking for a spot with a quick getaway, which can be hard to come by in the heart of the GTA, then Etobicoke is an excellent location for you. Residents of the numerous Etobicoke condos for sale wild love the quick access to the Gardiner Expressway, Highways 401, 409, and 427, the QEW, and nearby transit hubs like the TTC Subway Station at Old Mill Station, Royal York Station, Islington Station and Kipling. Etobicoke residents are only 20 minutes to Pearson and even closer to the GO Transit line, Ontario’s convenient commuter train, the VIA Rail and the Kitchener line.

Etobicoke Shopping and Amenities

The neighbourhood of Etobicoke is home to three large shopping malls – the Cloverdale Mall, CF Sherway Gardens, and Woodbine Mall and Fantasy Fair. Staying in Etobicoke has its perk, and convenient access to some of the best shopping in Ontario is one of them!

If you’re an avid shopping and you love to hit the racks for deals, then you will love this area.  CF Sherway Gardens is one of the most popular destinations for shopping in the GTA, so you know that you’ll have access to everything you need – and everything you desire. From Tesla to Indigo, CF Sherway Gardens has a lot to offer.

Some of our favourite local shops include:

  • GAP
  • Roots
  • Aldo
  • Sara
  • Sweet Jesus
  • Williams-Sonoma
  • L’Occitane
  • Oak+Fort
  • Ted Baker London
  • Pottery Barn
  • Lacoste
  • Peloton
  • And Kiehl’s

Whether you are looking for high-end shopping for your new Etobicoke condo or a bite to eat, CF Sherway Gardens is 10 minutes from anywhere in Etobicoke!

Shopping at Woodbine Mall and Fantasy Fair is also a lot of fun. Woodbine not only has excellent shopping but also some entertainment as well. Woodbine is home to rides and the fantasy fair so that visitors can enjoy spinning teacups, go-carts, merry-go-rounds, and more! This is the perfect place to go to hang out for the day, especially with friends! If you have kids, it’s really a no-brainer! Feel free to grab the annual ride pass so that you can visit the mall anytime in the winter and have a fun-filled day any time of the year.

Etobicoke Condos for Sale

If you’re interested in purchasing a condo in Etobicoke, then you’re in the right spot. Real estate developers in recent years have taken to developing the waterfront, so many of the Etobicoke condos for sale have glorious Lake Ontario views, waterfront access, and a cool lake breeze. Even with these amenities, don’t be surprised to see sleek features.

With all-glass window facades, floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious balconies, updated interior, and smooth hardwood floors, you’re sure to be impressed. Residents can not only basque in the beautiful Lake Ontario views or views of the lush green spaces, but they can also relax in entirely modern interiors.

You will find some of our favourite Etobicoke condos for sale listed in the following buildings:

  • Beyond The Sea
  • Explorer
  • Key West Condos
  • Ocean Club
  • Voyager Condos
  • South Beach Condos
  • Palace Pier Condos

One of our favourite Etobicoke condos for sale includes the Palace Pier Condos, an elegant 45-story high-rise that is mere steps away from the Humber River and the beautiful Humber Bay. Closeby, residents have access to the Humber Bay and Toronto ravine system, the Humber bay Shores park, and Sunnyside Beach. Travel across the Humber Bay Arch Bridge on your bike and explore a Toronto waterfront escapade. Inside, you can expect to come home to fully-finished interiors, beautiful kitchens, exquisite flooring, and luxurious features.

We also like South Beach Condos, an elegant mid-rise with a sleek steel structure and all-glass panes for something more laid-back. Homeowners in a South Beach Condos will love the posh podium and modern tower architecture. All interiors are completely updated with elevated ceilings, pre-engineered hardwood flooring, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Step out onto your patio to admire the sprawling trees and overlooking parks.

Etobicoke Restaurants and Nightlife

While residents in Etobicoke have quick access to the restaurants and nightlife that Toronto offers, know that you don’t have to go far for fine dining or a night out on the town. Etobicoke has a few restaurant hubs, namely along the water and at the malls. We highly recommend Kitchen On Sixth for some homey British-style cuisine and LaVinia Restaurant for Spanish in a contemporary setting.

Other favourites include The Open Cork Restaurant and Lounge, which will have you transported back to California with its unique cooking style, two patios, and modern bar.

We highly recommend Eden Trattoria for Italian and the Sanremo Bakery off Royal York Road for some of the best Italian-style pastries and baked goods.

You can visit one of the many pubs along Lakeshore Rd East down by the waterfront for nightlife. There’s Albatros Pub, Funny Bones Games Lounge and Cafe, and the Etobicoke Local. We love playing a round of pool at NTB Lakeshore Bar and Billiards or catching the game at Timothy’s Pub!
