Yorkville Neighbourhood

A Toronto staple filled with luxury shops, trendy restaurants, and Victorian homes, the Yorkville neighbourhood is one of Toronto’s most delightful neighbourhoods for urban living. Annexed back in 1883, and originally incorporated as a village in 1853, Yorkville is now a thriving northern end neighbourhood that sits atop the University neighbourhoods and downtown city core. This is one of the most posh and vibrant neighbourhoods in the entire city. So if you are ready to move up and live in one of the most luxurious neighbourhoods, then Yorkville is the place for you.

The Yorkville neighbourhood, otherwise known as Bloor-Yorkville and the Annex, spans from Bloor Street in the south, to Davenport Road on the north end. Residents of this neighbourhood are nestled right along the north end of the University of Toronto campus, encapsulating the posh atmosphere and beautiful architecture of the Royal Ontario Museum. And bordering its east and west edges are Yonge Street on the east and Avenue Road on the west side, which stop right along Rosedale Valley Road, leading residents into the lush green Rosedale Ravine Lands.

One of Toronto’s landmark neighbourhoods, Yorkville delivers high-end shopping and deluxe condo living. From the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences to the shopping at the Holt Renfrew Centre, you will love the amount of luxury and convenience at your fingertips.

In the heart of Yorkville is the Village of Yorkville Park, a spacious pedestrian zone for relaxing and socialization. Enjoy a day shopping along Cumberland Street and Bloor Street West. From Gucci to Louis Vuitton and other high-end shops, this is a designer’s dream. Locals can walk along the busy streets to view the rich architecture around them as well, including the beautiful condo towers like One Bloor.

This is one of the best places to live in the city if you love living in luxury. From the Whole Foods Market and the phili Menswear and Jacadi clothing stores. Walking around and experiencing the nightlife in this area is also amazing. Being in Yorkville, you have the choice of settling in a quaint Victorian home or choosing one of the modern Yorkville condos for sale. Whichever, you still have the opportunity to experience both the high-end and luxury living of Yorkville as well as the historic charm of the Victorian houses in the neighbouring streets.

Residents in Yorkville will love the quick access to Toronto’s unique culture. Residents are close-by to the ROM, which is home to the largest collections of natural history and geological artifacts in Canada. The ROM also hosts its Friday night at the ROM throughout the summer, which allows visitors the chance to have a drink, listen to music, and have some good eats surrounded by rich cultural artefacts, friends, and history. If you’re looking for an interesting neighbourhood, then you must consider Yorkville, Toronto.

Yorkville Condos for Sale

Yorkville condos for sale include some of the richest most exclusive condos in Toronto. From the residences at the Four Seasons Private Residences to Museum House, The Yorkville, and Minto Yorkville Park, Yorkville has condominiums that would excite the most discerning buyer.

The sleek, glossy facade of Pears On The Avenue, for example, which features all-glass sides and glass-framed balconies, provide residents with stunning city views and lots of natural lighting. Amenities inside the suites include stainless steel appliances and pre-engineered hardwood flooring.

Or you might enjoy the posh design of the Museum House, which is located at 206 Bloor Street West at the heart of the Yorkville neighbourhood and is known as one of Toronto’s best luxury condos. Overlooking the ROM, residents of Museum House will love the connection to the art scene and culture, and experience luxurious living like never before.

We love the look of The Florian, a high-rise condo built in 2021 and located at 88 Davenport Road. This sleek building is sophisticated and elegant, but not over the time. You will have some of the best amenities around without the fluff. These condos have competitive pricing and continue to offer residents a lot of value year over year.

Luxury Yorkville condos for sale

Most Yorkville condos for sale are on the upper end of the price range because this is what those flocking to Yorkville look for. You can expect to see high-end amenities throughout the condos themselves, modern or updated builds, spacious suite sizes, and premium features throughout the suites.

Upscale Shopping

One of the main reasons why urban dwellers flock to Yorkville is because of the desirable shopping options and boutique stores. High-end designer storefronts like Fuxxi and Louis Vuitton will have you dressing for success. Grab your morning coffee and all the accessories that come with the Nespresso Boutique store.

Residents of Yorkville condos for sale will love shopping at stores in the Holt Renfrew Centre shopping mall, including Holt Renfrew of course, PUREBEAUTY Salon and Spa, Zaara, Hattendo, Gap, and Femme De Carriere. Sephora, Indigo, Winners and HomeSense are also in the area. Residing in this neighbourhood, you’ll never be too far away from everything that you need – or want!

Residents also have access to the boutique stores that are available in the underground PATH, Toronto’s largest and most accessible shopping mall. The PATH is a maze of underground shops, businesses, restaurants, coffee shops and much more that can be accessed from multiple points on the Toronto streets. With 30 kilometres of walkways, this is a great space to hang out during the cold winter months or commute to work. Of course, some of the best stores are located underground, so don’t pass this up!

Yorkville Restaurants and Nightlife

As mentioned, the Yorkville shopping scene is one of the main reasons why someone would be considering a Yorkville condo for sale. However, this area also has tons of restaurants to choose from and a thriving nightlife scene. After all, what would life be if you couldn’t go out and enjoy it with your friends?

Some of the best restaurants are located on Cumberland Street and Yorkville Avenue, two streets that run parallel. On Cumberland, you’ll have to stop in at Hemingway’s, a New Zealand style pub with a listing of beer on draft and good pub eats. Oxley Public House is another fun spot, a gastropub that has British decor throughout (and patios of course).

For more high-scale dining, Sofia Restaurant and Bar is the go-to place. They have an open-air patio and serve Italian-spun food and cocktails. The locals favor Jacques Bistro Du Parc, with its favourite French wine list and spirits. We also recommend Cibo Wine Bar, which is a popular venue with three levels and rustic decor. A lot of locals love dining at Trattoria Nervosa, and it also has a rooftop patio for drinks with friends. And let’s not forget a Yorkville favorite frequented by A-list celebrities, athletes, musicians and locals alike – the world famous SOTTO SOTTO.

More great dining venues

  • Metropolis Cafe – “For the local coffee shop enthusiast”
  • Sushi Inn – “Two levels of Sushi!”
  • ONE – “Sumptuous bar, trending dining in a cozy setting”
  • Alobar Yorkville – “Creative bistro serving Euro and Asian influences”

While residents who live in a condo in Yorkville will still have access to the Entertainment Districts and the clubs down south, there is plenty of nightlife in Yorkville, and just around the corner.

You’ll find locals moonlighting in the sleek hotel lounge of the Proof Bar, which serves unique cocktail mixtures in a luxury setting. For music and dancing, check out NEST, which is a large, sprawling nightclub that features multiple DJs nightly. Cake Bar and Nightclub is also close-by, and you are sure to get your dance on here. If you love whisky, then CC Lounge and Whisky Bar will never disappoint.

Other spots to consider, which might be more casual, include Handlebar, Pegasus Bar, and Brewhaha. Yorkville is close to the East Downtown Core, which is home to a thriving LGBTQIA scene, so there is truly something for everyone! With so many amenities in the Yorkville area, you will never run out of new adventures. Restaurants can easily connect to a nightclub, music venue, comedy bar, or small dive by hopping on the local transit that is easily accessible, including the Bloor and Yonge subway intersections. We absolutely LOVVVVE Yorkville at CondoMapper.ca and you will routinely catch us frolicking in our favorite neighbourhood in the city.
