Condos in Vaughan

Vaughan Neighbourhood

Known as the city above Toronto, Vaughan is a growing metropolitan neighbourhood that offers many amenities. Including close proximity to the city life in Toronto, Vaughan residents have access to a plethora of businesses, creative depots, conservation areas, and even the entertainment of Canada’s Wonderland.

Vaughan includes the span of the 407 that extends to Newtonbrook and North York, Jane and Finch, and the Toronto Pearson Airport, to the south. Bordering its edges are Brampton (Highway 50) and Richmond Hill/Markham area (along Bathurst Street). At the north end of Vaughan, residents can access both the Nashville Conservation Reserve and the Amazon Fulfillment Centre. And down in the main hub of Vaughan’s downtown are exciting spaces like Canada’s Wonderland, Legoland Discovery and Science Centre Toronto, the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, and Canada’s largest indoor reptile zoo Reptilia Vaughan.

There are many amenities in Vaughan itself, which means that residents don’t have to go far for daily necessities, basics, or even for a casual bite to eat. However, Vaughan is strategically located near a lot of transit options. Residents of this neighbourhood can take Highway 400 to access Highway 7, 407, and Highway 401. Driving from the core Toronto downtown, it would only take 30 minutes to reach the heart of Vaughan and Canada’s Wonderland.

But, this neighbourhood has convenient access to the Toronto subway! The Yonge-University north/south lines start at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, loop down and around to Union station, and can take you up to Finch and the North York Shopping Centre. This means that residents of Vaughan can still consider working in downtown Toronto without needing to worry about driving by car. Connect to the Bloor-Danforth east/west line in a matter of minutes!

There is a wide range of neighbourhood options within Vaughan, so you don’t have to settle for just anything. From the decadent Woodbridge area to even Rural Vaughan, there is something for all lifestyle types. Vaughan residents get to be located outside of the bustle of downtown Toronto, with easy access to its core. Start to explore the wonderful and creative spaces of the city in the north!

In addition to shopping, entertainment, and great dining, Vaughan is home to a large section of green spaces! There are three major green spaces on the west end of Vaughan – Boyd Conservation Park, Nashville Conservation Reserve, and Glassco Park, which is home to the William T Foster Woods, the Will Granger Greenway of the Humber Trail, and the collection of artwork known as the McMichael Canadian Art Collection! Spend a day traipsing around the beautiful wild brush. The natural and stone dust trail can be used for hiking and cycling in the summer, and cross-country skiing in the winter!

The William Granger Greenway is home to an 8.9 km nature work, which passes through to the historic shops along the Kleinburn main street, as well as up steep and rugged terrain, exploring unique flora, and regaling in the fauna. The quaint village of Kleinberg draws locals from all over. This village is located along the Humber River Valley. With over 100 acres of beautiful green space and home to the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, you’ll find that there is a lot of arts and culture in this area. The McMichael Collection is one of the largest publicly funded art galleries in Canada and promotes exclusively Canadian and Indigenous art. Other social and community centres nearby include the Kortright Centre, Pierre Berton Library, the Al Palladini Community Centre, and the Kleinburg Library.

In addition to these cultural centres, Vaughan has a few beautiful golf courses as well, so you know that you can easily kick back and relax during those long summer days. From the Eagles Nest Golf Club to Maple Downs Golf and Country Club and even Copper Creek up by Nashville. Each impeccable 18-hole course makes living in Vaughan an oasis!

Vaughan Amenities

Canada’s Wonderland – While not the only selling point of this wonderful area, Vaughan is home to Canada’s Wonderland, Canada’s biggest and most popular amusement park and theme park. Spanning 134 hectares, this theme park gives Disneyland a run for its money! Using the character themes, rollercoaster, and splash zones, there is something for the whole family to enjoy!

Spend the day at the theme park while whipping around on the Behemoth, with mind-blowing drops. Or head over to the Leviathan, for a next-level view overlooking the province of Ontario – oh and super fast themes. From fast rides to wet rides, kiddy-rides and carnival games, you can stay entertained at Canada’s Wonderland for hours.

In the heat of the summer, locals love to spend time in the splash zone by getting a cabana! Treat it like your own mini-oasis. Grab some friends, drinks, and play some music while you explore the water tube rides like the Muskoka Plunge and Super Soaker or lounging in the White Water Bay wave generator.

While Canada’s Wonderland is a major theme park, residents aren’t overburdened by massive crowds. Much of Canada’s Wonderland is contained! Experience the thrill of a theme park and entertainment hub right in your backyard!
