The Liberty Village neighbourhood is a fantastic location for those who love finding unique things to do, but don’t like being overwhelmed by opportunity. 80 Western Battery Road is tucked among some of the amazing green spaces in Liberty Village, making it a true oasis amidst bustling city streets. Yet, just blocks away, you’ll find amazing eateries and fun options for entertainment.  

From its corner of Western Battery Road, the Zip Condos are surrounded by Bill Johnston Park to the north, Gateway Park to the east, and Liberty Village Park to the south. Residents have access to plenty of paths to wander, walk, run, and bike, but also off leash dog parks, playgrounds, and picnic spaces here. Just down Strachan Avenue is Garrison Common, too, if larger green spaces with historical significance are more interesting. With access to the lakefront just across Gardiner Expressway, a day along the lake would make for a quick and easy weekend plan!

There’s loads to do in this corner of Liberty Village, though.  Just on the block, there’s Liberty Convenience shop and Ciao Europa Wine Bar. The dining scene in Liberty Village is quite impressive in its own right. There are loads of options available, including Maurya East Indian Roti, Williams Landing, Brazen Head Irish Pub, Local Liberty Village, Merci Mon Ami, Balzac’s Liberty Village, 3 Brewers Liberty, The Craft Brasserie and Grille, Liberty Commons at Big Rock Brewery, and Mildred’s Temple Kitchen, to name a few.  Brunch is also a big deal in Liberty Village. Nearly all of the local restaurants participate in the ritual of a mid-day weekend meal with delicious beverages and house specials. It’s not unheard of to get the gang together on a Saturday or Sunday morning to cruise brunch specials, then spend the day enjoying the weather outside, or taking in some of the local sights!

Liberty Village is also adjacent to some big-time entertainment. You’ll be very close to Allan A Lamport Stadium, perfect for folks who like to take in a soccer or field hockey game or two.  Coca-Cola Coliseum is also nearby, meaning immediate access to hockey, concerts, events, and exhibitions throughout the year. Just down the street from Coca-Cola Coliseum is BMO Field, which offers even more fun for soccer fans.

All of the daily necessities are near the Zip Condos, too. There’s a Metro Grocery with a Starbucks, along with shops that offer everything from beer to running shoes, to interior decor.  There are also transportation options on Liberty Street, Strachan Avenue, and King Street, meaning the whole city is just a quick ride away.
