Proposed by Mississauga Mayer in 2020, the Mississauga Square One District is set to transform 130 acres of land surrounding the Square One shopping centre into a village community, creating one of the largest village communities in Canadian history!

This 18-million square-foot plot of land is newly dubbed the “neighbourhood of the future.” Replacing parking lots, homes and other mixed-use facilities will instead populate this area, which will be a hub for over 35,000 jobs, residents, green spaces, social spaces, and offices. With the future set on growing his metropolitan hub for more residents, more jobs, and retail, you can expect a home in this neighbourhood to keep you connected to innovation and convenience! You can think of this area as the new Downtown Toronto, as many of the locals will enjoy walking around to local establishments straight after work and connecting with new friends. 

The future of this neighbourhood isn’t the only reason to choose Square One neighbourhood. Square One is Mississauga’s core. You’ll find the notable high-rise towers, the towers that seem to swirl, are centrepieces, and residents have their choice of single-family detached homes, rentals, and Square One condos for sale. 

As of now, Square One is in north Mississauga, north of Cooksville and just around the corner from the Mississauga Value.
